AUTO QUESTION....Turbo's and Exhausts

    Hey, I never laugh at anyone's ride and your's is a cool car.

    I'm no mechanic but yes...your turbo, sensors and even valves can be damaged by an exhuast manifold leak. Try to repair it as soon as possible and hope that all the bolts come out and not break off...thus requiring drilling them out and re-threading. That would add a lot of labor to the job.

    Yes, exhaust and back pressure affect performance.

    If I remember correctly, the exhaust drives the turbo but I would think it would have to be a heck of a leak to affect the turbo. It can lead to burnt exhaust valves because of the heat build-up. It's like blowing on a fire.

    its a decent leak, more worried about it screwing with O2 sensors ETC. Also concerned about my cat. That will slow a car down.
