Wally World
The 3 box limit at my local Wally World has been lifted. Ammo cabinet stocked full too. Even had some 22lr, 22wmr and 30-30. Maybe things are getting better.

I know the topic of wal-mart and guns has been beaten to death. BUT..I was at one of the local wally world's tonight and their gun cases were gone. The guy at the counter said, "Yep, came and got 'em last week." This is one of those rural areas where "supposedly" they would continue to sell guns. When I got home I called my brother-in-law, who is a store manager at a wal-mart in the next town over. He said they had received a memo last week that ALL of them will stop selling guns at the end of 2007. Said their corporate FFL was up for renewal next March and that they would not be renewing. I know lots of you don't like them, but dangit, I don't care who it is, I don't want to see ANYONE get out of the gun business, especially with the pressures the gun industry is under now, and that we are under as gun owners. Almost makes me sick to my stomach. 0 -
I was at my local Wally world and they had some Federal 550 22lr packs for 15.50 and I made the statement they must be getting more Winchester ammo in because I see more on auction.
She stated the new ammow will soon have a report sticker sold by Wal Mart that was sold by walley world and report resale. ??????????0 -
Just gto back from wally world, needed a Chamois, and some door trim that I use for the Harley windshield (chrome door trim) goes great around the top of the windshield, wandered by the sporting goods, and dang ifn I didnt find some winchester 20 guage shot shells, 4 boxes in a pack for 14.00 , guess Ill go shooting clays tomorrow.[:D][:D]got around 300 shells now, so that should be a good days shooting.

I saw this coming a while back. WAL-MART was already taking a beating in court over gun issues, but when they had to fork over the big bucks to that woman's family who committed suicide with a gun she bought at WAL-MART, I just had a feeling WAL-MART would be getting out of the gun business. I can't say I blame them. To them, it is a lot more trouble than it's worth. 0 -
My moms boss wanted to buy a .22. I told my mom he could get one from walmart and she said they dont sell guns there anymore. I was suprised with it being a rural mostly farm dominated area. 0 -

I guarandamntee you that if every Wal-Mart in the world stopped selling guns and ammo the local mom and pop gunshops would RAISE their prices to take advantage of the situation. The very nature of competition and capitalism is exemplified by Wal-Mart. If you ain't for Wal-Mart you ain't for the American dream.
Wal-Mart is the best friend the American consumer has. The opportunity they create for the entire population through lower prices outweighs ANY benefits a few mom and pop businessess provide. If Wal-Mart can save so many people money then the other shops should voluntarily shut their doors, if they are real patriots anyway. If they can do better business practices than Wal-Mart then they shoudl quit whining and DO IT. Otherwise close the doors and shut up. It is the nature of competion which makes us wealthy and our country strong. If you are against competition then you are against America.
Wal-Mart only succeeds throught the failure of others. If it weren't for Wal-Mart I would not have as much goods or money as I do now. The status quo was not good enough for the population and I thank Wal-Mart for the retail revolution.
Long live capitalism and Wal-Mart!!!!!

I dont care for walmart and it has nothing to do with anything other then it is just my type of place to shop. I like to shop at a place where the staff has half a clue about what they sell.
I was real sad about True Value Hardware getting rid of their corporate FFL back in the early eighties though.0 -
