HVAC thermostat wiring question
My wife works for Hunter Fan. She was selected to bring home a new model/style programmable HVAC thermostat for a field test before this new model goes on sale. Guess who gets to "hook it up"?
This new model is one of those "one style fits all" (gas/electric/heat pump. etc.) with 7 wiring connections as follows:
Y1 RH RC1 RC Y/O W/B G
Our system is a 4-wire system (red/green/white/yellow). Now, the back of my old thermostat states "use a jumper between RC-RH" (no problem). I assume (could be bad) that I should connect as follows:
yellow-Y1 red-RH green-G white-W/B
Does that look right?

Yes.. Red is power from furnace to t-stat, White is for heat, Green is for the fan, Yellow is for cooling(sometimes blue is used)..[:D][:D] 0 -
