Guess it's not indestructable to large calibers.

    Poor little guy. [;)]

License to kill gophers by the government of the United Nations. Man, free to kill gophers at will. To kill, you must know your enemy, and in this case my enemy is a varmint. And a varmint will never quit - ever. They're like the Viet Cong - Varmint Cong. So you have to fall back on superior intelligence and superior firepower. And that's all she wrote.

I got to get into this dude's pelt and crawl around for a few days. Who's the gopher's ally. His friends. The harmless squirrel and the friendly rabbit.

Dude, you can't expect the thing to sit there all day taking .300 WSM hits without showing some wear and tear!

"Indestructible" or not, that's just not fair.

Looks like the thing held up pretty good given its intended purpose.

Let me shoot it with a .58 wadcutter. We'll see how indestructible it is! [:D]

I would destroy that thing with my handloaded 30-06 Nosler Balistic Tips ammo. Ten shots and it would be in atleast 2 or more peices.

I'm on the list to get that but I don't think it will make it this far. I'll have to buy one and see how many hits it will take from my 22-250 and 25 WSSM.

Id like to tannerite its butt, dont think it would hurt the little guy that much but the video of it rocketing into the sky would be pretty fun...[:D]

either that or split em in half with the 416 or the 50, but thats to easy and would defeat the purpouse. [8D]

A while back Kodiakk bought a plastic gopher that the seller claimed was virtually indestructable. He was kind enough to have a giveaway for us members so we could see exactly how "indestructable" it really was. I was fortunate enough to be the first one on the list and I received the gopher last month.
Well, I finally got a chance to get to the range today, and I took the gopher with me. Below are the pictures of the gopher after Mrs. Handgun and I abused it for a while. The biggest problem with it is that it doesn't stand up well. After the first shot, we were reduced to "making it jump" around the berm.
As you can see, it takes shots from the .22LR pretty well (about 75), however, it doesn't seem to like hits from the .243 (about 10 total) and the big damage (the large holes) came from 3 hits from a .300 WSM.
Based on what I have seen, this gopher is not long for this world.

Edit - I forgot to mention the 5 hits from the 7TCU that it took as well. It did handle those pretty well. I guess that it just can't handle high speed rounds.

For what-all you did to it, it looks pretty good to me.

Bringing it back up. I'm curious how the next person left their mark on it.
