As for the aspertame...yes, coke makes a diet soda made with splenda. It has the grey label with a blue/yellow stripe. Tastes more like regular coke too. As for caffeine free diets sodas, I think maybe diet Canada Dry.

Sarge- so far I've found one by Nestle's that's pretty good for a water- flavored with Orange, Raspberry, Strawberry, and Lemon; but I'm hoping for something with a little snap.

I know what you mean, but the only thing I can think of are the caffine free diet drinks like Mt dew. I'll bet it has that aspertame in it though.

If you want a alcohol drink try whiskey w/ water.

Diet Rite and Diet RC are both sweetened with Splenda. Diet Rite is also caffeine and sodium free. Diet Rite is my soda of choice. Good stuff!

Do you realize that Splenda causes lots of problems too? I don't touch that stuff with a 10 foot pole.

Where are you hearing/reading this? Everything I have read about Splenda says it is 100% safe. It is an altered Sugar molecule and nothing else. It is as safe as sugar. It has been around since the early 70's and has been tested more than any other artificial sweetner. Since I have never seen any disparging thing at all about it, I am quite curious as to where you heard that.

I drink large quantities of diet colas each day.

Diet drinks and foods will have either aspartame, sucralose, saccharin, maltose or whatever in them to create the sensation of "sweet". So, you're getting a dose of chemical regardless.

Even the flavored waters have an artificial sweetener in them.

You're actually down to plain old water. Bottoms up!!![:)]

Shasta makes diet sodas with Splenda. Some are better than others. RC Cola comes diet with splenda along with several flavors of Diet Rite sodas. If I remember correctly 7UP has a diet 7UP with Splenda also.

I've heard this for several years. Google "splenda" and you'll find 5 out of the 10 links on the first page relating to dangers of splenda.
