Here is the kid I've been bragging about
Here is my son winning a varsity wrestling match this past Thursday at Bridgeport, Michigan. He is 14. I don't know if this kid was older and/or more experienced but he was taller and bigger. My son is also one of the reasons I've listed some guns for sale-to help send him to Europe in 2008.

Here is one of the first pheasant he took a couple of years ago.

and here he is at another win a couple of weeks ago.

Can you say "Proud Papa!".....I can![:D][:D][:D]

I saw you auctions, but missed the other part.
Got it now.
He is in for the trip of a lifetime. WTG dad. [;)]0 -
Thanks for the kind comments.
Now I'll have to post some of the younger one so he doesn't get jealous.
Cowdoc-You have got to be pretty proud as well!0 -
Any 14 year old kid who can win varsity wrestling matches is a real bad ass.
I played high school football, soccer, track and wrestling. Wrestling is the toughest sport of all. It really separates the men from the boys.
Congratulations to both of you!
ps My younger brother won the Georgia State title in Heavyweight in the AAA category. He was a pretty tough kid. A year after that, we had bought some boxing gloves, and I had a 4 minute match with my brother. He was 18 I was 23. Wearing 14 ounce gloves, he broke three of my ribs with one punch. I was just as big as he was, and I was a construction worker, and played soccer 4 days a week, so I was very strong and in great shape.

Congrats to a fellow Michigander... [;)] 0 -
You're a proud Dad indeed gunfunco. Quite an accomplished son you have there. I'm only about 20 minutes north of Bridgeport. 0 -
Fine looking young man, you should be proud.[;)]
Best!!0 -
Thank you all for the kind words.
I show him them when he returns from Washington DC in the morning.0 -
He looks like a great kid and you deserve to be a proud poppa. I reached my full height of just over 6-1 at age 15, weighed in at 185 (I wish I weighed that today [B)]) and wrestled in high school. Frankly I was just a big slow kid with no real sports skills, but I still managed to have some fun! Tell your son to stay with it and consider getting him a private coach as it can make a big difference. 0 -
