Would you like to pay, credit or check?- umm cash?
really, it seems like no one even uses cash anymore, which is all i use
I dont have a credit card, I dont write checks, I just withdraw and pay, when possible, all I use checks for is paying rent and tuition, no more no less.
I figure Ill never get into debt that way, if i dont even own a credit card, or carry my check book- who accepts checks anyway, its so easy to write a bad check.
My car got towed this week, my fault completly, i was dumb, lesson learned for $220, I show up to the place, riding across town on my bike mind you, and the guy asks how would you like to pay, credit or check?
Who takes checks? I dont even have credit, at my age and income thats asking to get in debt, im like "uhh cash?" he takes it of course, but every week at the grocery, seems people just dont like using cash
Do they need a reminder that credit card take 3% and that by paying in cash i am supporting their buisness instead of the credit card companies?
Just seems most places no dont like to receive cash, which is really just free money in their pocket since they eliminated the diff between cash and credit prices, seems I gotta go to a blue collar towing place to find people who even appreciate the certainty of paying in cash nowadays.
Id heard the tow place people lacked curtousey and friendlyness via online "wikis" for Davis, but they seemed pretty courteuos, was this simply a result of paying in cash and giving them a free $6 the credit card companies would have otherwise taken?
really, im kind of disturbed at my generatuons abondonment of cash, and plan to continue carrying no more than $60 and no less than $20 at all times, and never getting a credit card- also much less to worry about when shopping online if there is no credit card # to steal

I think most people are going to Debit cards. Alot easier to use, money taken directly from their accounts, They don't have to carry cash, and they can use it like a credit card. 0 -
By using cash (federal reserve notes) you are still within the federal reserve cabal's fiat ponzi system. Bartering or using historically real money like silver or gold is the only way to get around it. I was just thinking about this th eother day when I was contemplating switching to all cash and money order transactions .

Probably, but then again how will the rulers do their shady business without cash? Rich people, The CIA and other spy agencies, the so called "war on drugs" ,and many other black ops etc. need cash.

Not only are people moving from cash for their convenience, a lot of businesses are encouraging it too because for them, processing cash is more expensive than cards ... due to wrong change being given and theft.
At least that what the Post Master at our local office told me a few years ago when I was doing a lot of eBay ...0 -
i went to a resturant & paid for meal with a $50 which happened to be the smallest denomination on hand...clerk at the register held it up, looked at it, wallowed around & asked if it was real...i said "of course it is, i just made it", more ho hum, finally she gave me $32 change & i held it ip to the light, snapped it, shook it, & asked her "is it real"...hesus h. christo...& i hate plastic cards 0 -

I mainly pay for everything with cash also. I have been in a few situations where the clerk did not know what to do as I peeled out the greenbacks. 0 -
I almost never use a check. I pay my bills online. Anything else, like a co-pay to a dentist or doctor is cash. I notice more and more the clerks look a bit stunned and confused when I use cash, and they never have change. It's going, just a bit more time.. 0 -
i more often than not use my debit card as cash. this has gooten me into trouble more times than i can count. anybody who has as tenuous a financial situation as i should exercise extreme caution here. all transactions must be recorded in the ledger as they occure(this is where i screw up, since i dont write them down at all). in this way, if you end up running a negative balance, all transactions that are posted to a negative balance are charged a insufficient funds fee(at citizens, it start at 19 and works its way up). so you dont keep track of your balance, charge a pack of cigarettes and a soda($7.00) to your checking account. thats gets posted to a neg balance. insuff fee attached, that pack of butts and beverage would cost you AT LEAST 26 dollars(mine is up to 35). thats gets pricey.
multiply that by every transaction you make in a day(on your card) it doesnt take long to be up to 200 just in fees in your not careful...0 -
A good part of my income is derived from selling at the swap-meet and playing guitar for fees and tips. CASH! Of course I report every penny. [;)] I think there is an effort affot to make cash obsolete. Its not a good thing. 0 -

I lost my pen to check bills. Cashiers would take a twenty and write across it to see if it was good. I started doing the same thing to them standing in line. Take out my pen, swipe the bill and hold up the line. I don't do plastic very very seldom.0 -

McDonald's found that the average plastic user in their restaurants (debit and credit) spends 37% more than the average cash user. Keep in mind that the average plastic user WAS a cash user before the store started taking plastic. 37%.

Using a card removes the emotional link between you and your money that is there when you actually have to lay cash on the counter. You just don't think about it, and you spend more.
I have noticed it myself, so I use cash wherever possible.

A grocery stroe chain (one of the biggest around here)has now started a finger print method. Register your name and such with your bank account , next people will just cut off your fingers when they rob you. 0
