Verizon Internet, grgrgrgrgrgrgrgrgrg
We have 3 more Mo's and then we dump them, When its working its great BUT when you have a problem look out. You call the # and get some one from India that you can not understand, then when you give up and get rude with them they will transfer you to some one here in the USA. One time we were down for 6 days waiting on a live person to show up, when he got here he got on the phone and got the problem solved in less that 10 min. Now we have an extra $79.00 on our bill for a part that we sent back, have auto pay from our checking acc. We are going to cancel that this morning and pay them by Postal money order sent registered. to He** with them.

I wondered how that service worked. Not so well I take it.
We have comcast and it is fast and reliable. Quite expensive though.0 -
I had Verizon DSL for over a year, it worked great. Not one problem. Then we bought a new house and could not get it anymore, have to use cable modem. That service has been out lots of times. Wish we could get Verizon DSL back. 0 -
I have verizon F.I.O.S and it is great no problems. 0 -
On my third year with almost no problems. Downtime in minutes. Guess it depends on where you live. 0 -
I have hughes.net, formerly direcway.com. They changed their name in an attempt to escape their reputation, but that doesn't work for very long.
I can't blame you for dumping Verizon, but good luck finding anything better.0 -
Maybe I better cool off. 0 -
I hear Charter is the best avaliable. 0 -

Best will always be a leased line. They come with a terms of service, which is why a T1 line (1.54mbs up/down) is soooo much more than a DSL line (all sorts of numbers maxing out at 6mbs up and down)
If you live around a few people, you could get a leased line and share it amongst yourselves via wireless or wired network. Form a 'net connect co-op.0 -
I have them and so far (knock on wood) I have only had 1 problem.
That steamed from having to change credit cards numbers because someone decided they wanted to use my number. I changed the info with them after getting a notice I was past due, I forgot that I was using that card for them. I then didn't make a one time payment I just guessed it would be processed, it wasn't. They then shut me off. I got it turned back on but could not access my mail everything else worked. It took about 12 calls and one support guy that was of no help and very hard to understand to get it fixed. It was all on their end.
I was getting the run around each department would say it was someone else's problem. The service guy was the one that really PO'ed me I ask him many time to stay on the line and tell the billing Dept. it was not a hardware or software problem, but he didn't. I only had 2 people that I like the first one and the last one I talked to. They were very helpful the rest I wished would just go play in traffic. [:p]0 -
My post deals phones not internet. But based on our expierence with phones we will never use them for our internet.
Nothing we ever recieved from them worked very long, if at all. Except that which didn't work with what we already had, which didn't work anyway. Then there is that which we didn't order, they didn't fit anything we had so we have no idea if it worked.
They also padded their charges. $20 for a free phone and $20 for extending our two year contract by 4 weeks early.
Their people don't understand American very well. And are poorly trained, except in the area of excusess and to repeatedly say "very sorry."
Don't order anything from Verizon.0 -
I have Suddenlink (formerly Charter) and it is the best service I've ever had. It still isnt worth what I pay for it though.[V] Oh well, what can you do. 0
