Anti-Virus Protection?
My Norten ant-virus is about to expire, in a way Im glad because I get tired of giving every program that run permission to do so by clicking the big pop up from Norton. I was told that AVG was free and a great anti-virus program that you download for free? Have any of you used this service or can you vouch that it works? I guess I would then activate my Microsoft firewall, its currently protected by Norton. I would keep Norton if it didnt ask permission to allw or block programs when they attempt to access the internet.

AVG is top of the line. It's free and is way better than Norton.
Download Zone Alarm for a firewall. It's a very popular one and works very well.0 -
AGV

I use it and love it!0 -
I use AVG and like it alot. 0 -
I use Lifestyle or Trojan, lubed with ribs...oh wait...hehee wrong protection....
I have Norton. I configured it to allow access by my most used programs and ask for permission if it is not a program I didn't authorize. I get those popups rarely since I did that.0 -
that's what i use. works good and free, what more can you ask? 0 -
Even AGV does not give their best away free though. I also have come to dislike Norton's big bloated computer choking program, but would like to see what some of the pooter pros here have to say. 0 -
I'd say something but you'd all get testy again.[:o)] 0 -

I installed the System Mechanics Suite. This is a complete computer management suite which includes Kaspersky Anti-Virus. I have been very please with it. It is not free, but it is not expensive. 0
