What are you referring to?
Air curtains come to mind.

It's basicly a exhaust fan mounted in a panel that is placed in an exterior door opening.Used to find leaky door and window seals,or any place that robs heat from a building.

I gotcha now!
The utility companies use them to do home energy audits.
Believe they negatively pressurize the home, and then go around all the door, and window openings with an ultra sonic leak detector.
