When they talk about 95 bucks a barrel for oil...what is the guy that sells it to the refineries selling price per barrel ?
Is there hard information from some source other then government or oil moguls ?..Course...these days, it is hard to tell the difference, of course...

I don't know Highball but there's got to be some one on this site who,s in the oil business to give some input. Also has anyone else wondered about this.Gas and oil[qts] around here have gone up about 25-35 cents since when oil was under $60 a barrel earlier this year or was it last year.So the price has jumped around $40 bucks a barrel in a short period of time.So the prices at the pump have gone up actually a small percentage. If the oil companies made good $ then and are still making a good profit now, something sounds screwy.Somebody in the oil Business[you own guns too]Please explain,we will try to be nice.

Look in the WSJ and find the "spot" price for some benchmark commodity like North Slope Light sweet crude.
The futures prices are the ones going through the roof. Must be a gubmint conspiracy or somethin'.

I'll bet it will take a major drop in price at election time next year.
