Renewed appreciation for our troops
I would like to start by saying I am a veteran (Navy) and was raised around Ft. Leavenworth (my father, Bill Zink, taught school at Patton Jr High School) so I am familiar with the military.
I have been in Fayetteville, NC for about 6 mos. now around Ft. Bragg as a gunsmith for Gander Mountain. In my job I have had the chance to meet ALOT of our women and men in the Army and Air Force. Without a doubt I would say that these are some of the finest and most dedicated people I have ever known. They are always polite and respectful without giving the feeling that they are better than you and professional at all times. Some are being deployed and some are just returning, many not for the first time. All are proud of what they are doing, or have done, without not one gripe (bitch) being uttered by one of them.
I just wanted to say thank you and tell of the respect and appreciation I have for all of them. When they find out I am a vet and I thank them for their service, without exception they in return thank me for my service and helping to paving the way for them.

I think my many stories of respect and admiration for those who serve in our Military Forces led my Daughter to join the USAF, and I am glad, and proud she did. I think it is a darn shame that the MSM tries sooo often to tear down those Institutions. I really think that the "Embedded Journalists" program garnered a whole lotta respect from those who had their eyes and minds open. Wish there was a way we couldexpose the public masses to the very finest of America, Those Who Serve.0 -
