PayPal's firearm policy
This discussion started on a previous thread of mine(Another new seller with a lesson to learn). My opinion (and everyone has one) is PayPal does Not want to get involved with possible litigation "if" a particular firearm (paid through PayPal) was involved in a murder or other horrendous crime. Look at how many attorney's, government officials and/or government agencies that want to make firearm manufacturer's just as guilty as the "person that pulled the trigger". They're going to sue anyone and everyone associated with that "firearm"---MONEY, MONEY!
I just checked PayPal's website and here is the paragraph under---PayPal Acceptable Use Policy/Firearms, Weapons, Knives policy:
PRE-APPROVED MERCHANTS
You may not use PayPal in the purchase or sale of firearms or ammunition unless the seller has received prior approval from PayPal. PayPal reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to permit its payment services to be used for the legal purchase and sale of certain firearms and ammunition regulated by this policy. Approval to use PayPal for the sale of certain firearms or ammunition will only be permitted after a thorough review of the procedures and controls the seller has in place in order to ensure transactions and shipments are conducted in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
If you or your business requires approval to engage in the sale of firearms or ammunition in accordance with this policy, please send your contact information and a brief summary of your business to:compliance@paypal.com.

This could just be a disclaimer of sorts, lessening their liability
when a case comes up. It can be sidestepped by using "goods(other)".0 -
I found a site on e-bay that said they would accept pay-pal or a cashiers check, when I reminded them of that, they got amnesia and said any thing except pay pal was too difficult for them, I told them I was backing out, they responded that they would put a negative on my file, I responded back go ahead I could care less about anything that happens on evil bay.
In this rare occassion I feel evil-bay management might have interceded because they reversed the decision and e-mailed me to send the cashiers check and they would send the product.0
