1911 kits

i want to build a 1911. essex arms has great prices on receivers and slides, but are there any other places like them? where do i get the rest of the parts and a detailed diagram or blueprint and a "how to" of assembling the parts? what tools would one need to do the job right? do i need to take out a second mortgage or can i get the parts fairly reasonable? am i barking up the wrong tree in wanting to do this? anybody wanna buy a guitar? (parts money[:D])

  it's a Galveston 6 string acoustic. it has a great rich sound to it.
  i never really learned to play, so it just sits here in the case collecting dust.

  do you think i could get $150 out of it...including the case? also i have extra stings with it. ernie ball strings.

  i just saw your post mvp....that is exactly what i wanna do. how'd you do it? where did you get all the parts? how much did you spend on one let alone two?
