I have a LDS question for the LDS people

MVP
Which is right, the Bible or Book of Morman.
The Bible says that Jesus was born in Bethleham

The Book of Morman states that Jesus was Born in Jerusalem

One of these books is making stuff up.

edit to add:
I am not trying to stir but am just wanting straight forward answers

    I have talked to people who study this kind of stuff, they're with sharpshooter039. It probably was not in town, either one. The area has a bunch of cave, the desirable tourist setting in season. Spring was not tourist season, they were just there for the census (read taxes) these cave are "out of town." The interior of the caves is cooler in the summer months. From other writings of the time, and archiological digs, many believe the springtime birth of Jesus, of Nazareth, was either in, or near, this tourist section, not in either town.

    Uh, actually the LDS believe the Book of Mormon as written before the Bible, it tells of the coming Bible. Ask the MAsons, they're the ones who accuse old Joe Smith of stealing the Gold plates from them, maybe they have a different insight on all this.

    judea is like the county or area, bethlehem is on the west bank 6 miles south of jerusalem{ the main city} nazareth is where jesus grew up and where joseph and mary was from. they were traveling from nazareth to jerusalem to be counted in the roman census and between the two she had the baby in a manger in bethlahem

    I have asked the missionaries that ride up on their bicycles the same question and not one time did they even have a clue as to how to answer that question..

    I read the Book of Mormon. There are many scripture cross references to different versions of the Bible. Certain passages of a certain version the Bible are represented while other passages are also represented. Can't quote them because I am new at this. Isaiah is heavily quoted and interestingly enough both translations are in the Book of Mormon.

    One of my buddies is a Mormon and I think he told me once that they dont really go by the old testement at all but did believe in the new testement. Of course I disagreed and he new I would.[:D]

    I was as real upset when a "hardly Morman" woman contacted me and said there were a few things she needed to know about my ancestors. She was not going to do anything, mind you. So I coresponeded. Then a few weeks later I discovered than my Dad's Uncle from a true Christian Catholic family had been made a Mormon some 80 years after his death. They all Hated Mormons.

    There are a few little details that are interesting.

    1) The metalurgy of the tablets comes from AFTER they were supposedly discovered by Mr. Joeseph Smith.

    2) The verison of Biblical quotes in the Book of Mormon comes from the WRONG version of the printed Bible for the time.

    That said,, I have worked with Mormons, and except from Blatant on the Job Discrimination they engaged in, they were good people. I just wish they would become Christians. ( Bishop Tobler at AETNA LIFE in Hartford! )
