    I'll do ya one better - I am going to my range ALL DAY, to help with all the new and new to them rifle sight-ins for Hunting season, and will get to shoot maybe as many as a Hundred weapons, Ammo cost =0.00, BollChit all day, and maybe if it rains I will get to crank off a few hundred .45s of my own manufacture...

    But, I am right in there with ya, aramisVI - shootin is fun!

    Sounds like a lot of fun, with Range prices as high ($12 a gun, outdoor) as they are these day I ussually only bring one for me and one for a guest these days.

    My buddy bought a Cobray M11 yesterday. We went and put about 200 rounds each trew it. I'll tell ya that thing was more accurate than I expected it to be.....

    Lots of fun though[:D]

    UPDATE!!!!!!!!


    we spend 7 hours out there today. crystal, my buddy john and i shot and shot and shot....

    i think she took some pics but i haven't looked at the camera yet.
    we made our own targets...

    on hers it was shaped like a guy. she drew in a face and lungs, a heart, kidneys and the intestines....at the crotch she wrote "naughty". johns had some eyeballs peeking over a wall and some graffiti kinda stuff. mine was all sectioned out, a square in the middle and triangles coming off it. the spaces in between the triangles didn't count, only in the square or triangles.

    in each of our spots we wrote a goal or a gift we'd like to recieve. if we hit it, we got it or had to do it. if not, then nothing.
    john has to ask a girl out that he's got a crush on, crystal gets a bath and a manicure, i get some pistol brass for reloading and ... well... my other things are kinda naughty, but you get the idea. made it kinda fun trying to hit those specific spot on the targets from 50 yards, open sights (though slightly left of center) on an m44. we learned that 1/4 in lexan can withstand a 9mm from 30 ft, shot 2 (if in the same area) would break it though. so next time, we're gonna see how 1/2 in does. we took a 12 x 12 x 1/4 as a target because john drives an armored car for a living and wondered just how shot resistant lexan really was.

    with the pistols we put 157 rds into the lexan. with the rifles, both m44, we put (combined) over 200rds. we'd stop after each set of 5 to score the hits.

    the sun was nice, very slight breeze, we all got sunburned (crystal is really red) but damn what a nice day.

    i hope you all got to do something fun today too.

    I went out for the first time in 3 months and I shot a 100 10X on a NRA 50ft small bore target at 50 Yards with a 52C, from the bench with a scope. I felt real good about it till my 78 year old buddy fired a .18 inch 5 shot group out of a old 513T he bought from the CMP for $25.

    Tell your buddy that I once took 30 1 Inch thick plates of lexan to the range. I set them face to face into a big wooden crate and put it out at 200 yards. I shot it with my old Remington 1917 with a surplus 150 grain FMJ. That slug stopped on the 26th plate. I still have it layng around here someplace.

    we put aloe burn gel on her sunburn...she doesn't hurt.[:p]
