Kyle Petty to announce from his car

TNT will enhance its broadcast at the Toyota/Save Mart 350 in Sonoma, Calif. on June 24 with TNT analyst Kyle Petty climbing back in his No. 45 Dodge to compete in the Cup Series race and provide first-hand race commentary from behind the wheel. Petty will contribute to TNT's coverage with Bill Weber and Wally Dallenbach in the announcers booth throughout the race, giving viewers insight directly from the racetrack.

    [:D] kinda hard to give first hand race commentary when your either last,down more laps than you have fingers and toes or in pit tinkering with the car. [:D]

    he's avg 25th 26th place finsh for the seasaon I say that will get worse. as he will be trying to do two things at once.

    kinda dangerous if you think about it.

    I will give him this. there probably isnt anyone in NASCAR that is a better Humanitarian. OCC choppers and he teamed up for the victory jucntion gang and i also see he has been inducted into the Humanitarian Hall Of Frame.

    He's just not the driver his papy was.

    He may as well provide commentary from his car, he certainly isn't much at driving it.

    Not only does it count...It's the exact meaning of it.

    I thought NASCAR was in the middle of some kind of viewership boom, though. What's with all the gimmicks?

    Hi this is Kyle Petty and somewhere up ahead is a race! Maybe I can see who is leading when they lap me on lap 3. That is if they can get by all those freaking Toyota's that are trying to pass me.....
