i got my new gun for confirmation..........a marlin/ glenfield 60 22lr. i love it. its a really cool little gun. i plan on putting a simmons 22 MAG scope on it? to us guys agree??????.....sorry the pics aint the best

    you will have fun with it. did he give you a run down on field stripping or give you the book?

    I love mine. has 2 matching mags and shoots like a dream.

    no he didnt tell me much, we talked for about 2 minutes, exchanged what we had and left, i would be very interested if you could point me in the right direction for a guide to field stripping online.[:)]

    PA 63. Nice little pistol.
    Field-stripping is similar to a Walther or a Makarov....Make sure pistol is unloaded. Remove magazine and lower the trigger guard and slide it to the side so it catches on the frame in the down position. Then pull the slide back past the point you would normally think the slide stops and carefully lift the slide over the barrel hood...be careful as the hood is aluminum, and may get damaged by the steel of the slide. Then push the slide off toward the front. You can remove the spring from the barrel. Watch the slide stop on the left side of the pistol..it has a tendency to fall of and is a bear to put back in the first time.

    Go to makarov.com for some info. Consider upgrading the mainspring to a lighter one, therefore greatly decreasing the ungodly DA trigger pull.

    thanks zip, makarov had some good stuff but their strip was for the original maks, didnt know if mine would be exactly the same. on a side note, it said it was pronounced muh-CARE-off not MAK-uh-roff. learn somethin new all the time.
