what book(s) are you currently reading?
I'm just starting "The Mysterious Flame of Queen Loanna" by Umberto Eco, his latest novel. A little slow starting, but I've yet to regret anything I've read by him.

I recently finished I'm not really here by Tim Allen (Dick) the comedian and star of Home Improvement.
Unlike his first book, Don't stand too close to a naked man Not Here is actually a fairly thoughtful philosophical work.
Having been talked into watching the movie Eragon I checked the book out of the library and read it. I'm waiting for the sequel to come available.0 -
Einstein:A Life by Denis Brian....good book. 0 -

I read a few at a time. My wife always asks me how I keep them all straight, it's just never been a problem for me. Any body else do this?
At the moment I'm reading,
"Bury my heart at Wounded Knee"
Tom Clancy's "Rainbow Six"
"Where Whitemen Fear to Tred" autobiography of Russel Means, co-founder of A.I.M..
And I've picked up, and put down numerous times "The Ilyad".0 -

Really good stuff if you're into cross price elasticity and calculas.
Elasticity is very interesting, and is very useful in making predictions about secondary and tertiary price changes based on the ability to avoid purchasing altogether, or to switch to substitute product, particularly as you evaluate substitutes and complements in products.
The difference in the effect upon superior vs. inferior goods under changes in income go a long ways in explaining just why certain products are priced the way they are, and why they behave the way they do under market conditions.
If you understand those concepts, you won't get surprised too much by market shifts.[:)]
Have you had to deal with "giffen" goods?0 -
I'm "thinking" about putting a puzzle together, does that count? 0 -
Just now finished "I, Rigoberta Menchu"
