Wonderfull!!!!!!!!!! (Landlord & Nieghbors)
My landlord also owns the house next door to me. He has been having problems with them for non-payment of rent.
Well now I find out they have not paid their power bill either!
How did I find this out?
Well we run on the same water well and I now have no water because the power at their place is off.
I called my landlord and he said he will get it taken care of. He is real good with me so I am sure he will do something today.

I think being without water is the worst. I can go without electic for a day or two, if I had to. But if my water was out I have to leave. 0 -
UPDATE: Landlords wife came out and no one is home next door and a note from the power company on the door (I think they are there but not answering the door). I guess my landlord will be out this afternoon to run a temporary power line to the well so I have water.
I hope they freeze in that house as it is all electric in there. So they have no heat or stove or anything.0 -
They must have spent too much on toys this Christmas and have no money left for the rent. I think you better take over the electric bill for the well to protect yourself.[:0][:0] 0 -
That just means the neighbors will destroy the house before they are evicted. Watch them use the toilet until it's full, and then they will use the tub to releive themselfs. NASTY! 0 -
Promblem solved here shortly. Power company will be getting power back on.
My landlord will be solving future problems as well by having a seperate power pole instaled on a seperate meter.
It never was a thing to worry about when I moved in as my landlords girlfriend lived there. But when they got married she moved to his place and they rented it out.
These low lifes that he rented too have not paid rent since September. He started the eviction on them for non-payment of rent and they got it drug out by appealing the eviction and they go to court on the 8th of this month.
But anyway problem taken care of!0 -
Your landlord need a copy of the Landlord/tenant act. No rent from Sept. .. Ha,, that is his problem. Non payments get 10 days after service to go to court stating WHY they shouldn't be evicted. Non payments are automatic. Appeals will have to post bond ( back rent ) in order to rehear the case. He is defineatly not up to knowing. Wow. 0 -

Here you file a dispossessory notice and have to wait 30 days. Unless the house is part of employee benefits, then it is only 15 days. Don0 -

The magistrate is the one who allowed them to stay untill court.
I guess (from what my landlord told me) the magistrate around here leans more towards the tenant than towards the landlord.
My landlord is partially at fault for buying into their stories for 2 months prior to starting the eviction prosses, and he knows that. He is a very trusting person allmost to a fault. And that is why it is to the point that it is. But It will be taken care of in a few days.
I also found out for my landlords use that the guy living there is a convicted felon who just so happens to be in possetion of a firearm in the house. So I am sure even more will come down on this than just the non-payment of rent.0 -
In SC, any time a tenant is late on rent an eviction can be filed. Then it is served ( usually the next day.) Tenant has 10 days to answer court. Non payments will be automatic, The landlord does not have to accept monies in court. Then a WRIT of Ejectment is done by posting on the door of the rental. The tenant then has 24 hours to vacate or the Sheriff's dept shows up and the landlord sets their things out to the curb. They cannot interfere with this process or be arrested. Whole eviction shabang takes about 2 -3 weeks. 0 -
"He said just set them out"
That is beautiful. The landlord who takes that course will have his head handed to him on a plate in court.0 -
Many landlords with just a few properties are not aware that it is possible to get a background check on a prospective tenant. The history would include (if I remember correctly) a unlawful detainer report. This tells how many times a tenant has either has a eviction process started and/or has been evicted. There are people that consider it business as usual to get evicted twice a year. Your landlord needs to get a background check on the new tenants so you don't have this problem again and he dosn't lost a bucket of money. 0 -
I know a landlord that used to buy alot of appliances from me when i lived in broken bow. One day he traded in a frig that was only two years old. Turns out that his renters had gone for three weeks without power because they didn't pay thier power bill. They had the freezer part of the frig full of meat and icecream for those three weeks. When i opened the door there were literally millions of maggets inside.[:0][xx(][xx(][xx(]
