Ramen Noodles
Momofuko (what a name) Ando, "the Noodle King", inventor of Ramen instant noodles died at age 96. Now that was a contribution to humanity and all college students. My two used to take cases of them back to school. The King is dead, long live the noodle.

I'm alive today due to the Noodle King. God rest his soul. 0 -
ramen with a a chicken breast all cut up isn't half bad. [:)] 0 -
It sure beats warm water and three shakes of tobasco all to hell. [:)] 0 -
My kids lived on them, their choice. Now my grandkids are eating them. I even have on every now and then, but I doctor mine up with some real meat.[:)] 0 -
My kids got me draining the noodles and mixing in Stagg chili, pretty tasty. 0 -
Mix in lots of cabbage and toss in an egg, add 1/4" slices of Hills Farm Sausage if you want. A touch of chicken or beef broth and then a couple shakes of Tobasco. 0 -
I still eat them. I also eat Totino's pizzas to. Im in my 30's so I guess old habits die hard. 0 -
I have a case of Ramen as a last resort meal on those days my kitchen is empty because I didn't go shopping. 0 -
I think I've eaten more Ramen than I have C Rats & MRE's!
Quick, cheap & easy food when you're broke (and divorced!)0 -
I don't think I ever had ramen noodles. not even once. never ever.
ah well. I feel for y'all. sorry about the bad news.0 -
a good backpacking food, just shake on about 1/2-2/3 seasoning and eat 'em DRY![:p] 0 -
Too much sodium. But that's why they taste good.

i am quite certain my kids (now adults), will mourn this loss. It was an after school (or after/before anything) snack and became known as "favorite soup".... 0 -

If you cook a ramen in tomato soup and sprinkle some hot sauce in it, you'll have a great meal!!!
That's right, no water, just tomato soup. Mrs Rogue told me about it and I'm hooked on em cooked like that[:p]0 -
I haven't had them in years but I can remember when the entire floor I lived on in the college pitched in to buy 20 cases because there was a sale at Sams Club. 0 -
He kept my wife alive through her college days. Not sure if I should weep from sorrow or happiness for that gift. 0 -

Ramen noodles pretty good, especially for a quick lunch or a hodge-podge impromptu dinner side. But the freakin' sodium levels in them are through the roof! You can practically hear your own heart beating inside your head after eating one of them. 0 -
When i used to eat those all the time my tolerance levels was so high I would have to open two packages and throw one of the noodles in the garbage so I could sprinkle two flavor packs on one bowl of noodles.
Ramen is a great invention.0 -
Kimi's recipe is one I'll try. I have had them a lot of different ways...mostly with added Cajun/pepper seasoning.
WAY high in sodium!!0 -

I had never heard of that, but I had to give it a try. Just finished, as a matter of fact. Few shots of Tabasco, the beef seasoning packet, and a little celery salt, and it was like eating a bloody mary!0 -
it's the absolute worst thing to eat, if you've been drinking. You'll wake up 5 hours later with your saliva turned to glue, and your face stuck to a pillow. Then you'll have to make it to water, like a dehydrated man crossing a desert. I totally agree with not using all the seasoning.
TOO MUCH SODIUM!!!
That being said, I like the Oriental mix.[^]
