Federal Fusion ammo?

I picked up some in .308 Win. yesterday for a seemingly decent price, but before I use it for an upcoming hunt, I'm curious if any members have used it or have any knowledge of performance characteristics.
Accuracy, performance on game, etc......??

    I have only heard good things about the Fusion and I have several customers that will not hunt with anything other than Fuion. They have reported to me that it has been deadly on game with great performance and accuracy.

    But.... make sure it works well in your rifle before taking it into the field.

    Some of the best factory ammo going in my opinion.

    It's the only factory ammo that I will use for hunting.

    I have had the best shot groups with the 165 grain Spitzer Boat Tail bullets. Around 3/4" at 100 yards.

    I dropped a 300# pig in S. Texas last fall with the 140? gr Fusion cartridge in my .270 Winchester Lightweight. I love it's accuracy and the terminal performance was great. It's reasonably priced and the last trip to Cabela's, I bought 4 boxes.

    I've heard and read nothing but good about the Fusion ammo. I'm kind of interested to see how they will do out of my 1894 this year. I haven't been at the reloading bench for a few months and hunting season is quickly approaching.

    They shot some Fusion .338 rounds on Gun TV yesterday. Penetrated 19 inches of ballistic gel. Pretty impressive stuff! [:D]

    I bought the 165 gr. loading in hopes that if my rifle liked it I might be able to use it on larger game as well as deer.
    Sounds like it should be fine for elk and bear at .308 velocities.

    Heard many good things about it, but haven't tried it myself yet. If I am not mistaken this is an old concept re-introduced(remember the Speer Hot-Core?--also a very good bullet.)

    My sons 7mm-08 loves it. He took 2 deer with it last year, both died in their tracks. Good stuff!

    i mean EVERYTHING is fusion this and fusion that.
    for that alone i wouldnt buy it![8]
