Hey, those are awesome pictures. Congradulations to you and your son. As far as the Late-Bloomer goes, it is better late than never...as you are discovering. hopefully if you have grandchildren, they can get started a little earlier with help from gramps.

I think Late-Bloomer has received a lot of help and encouragement from this forum so I think he's just trying to show some appreciation by sharing his results with all of here that don't necessarily make it over to the other forums.

    Best.

    Thank you Nononsense,

That is exactly where I was coming from...

I am sorry if I've offended anyone on this GREAT forum, but MANY of you here have RAISED me up in the world of rifles and hunting this past several months and I just wanted to show my appreciation...

Again, I apologize if I crossed a few member's lines, I assure you it was never my intention. I'm just greatful to share my newborn success with those that have mentored me at GB.

Because of you, I am reaping the rewards you folks have so patiently and generously invested in me...And my son and I LOVE you all for it!!!

    God Bless!

    Aloha,

    Roland

Actually i am glad it got moved over to this forum. I might not have seen it somewhere else. Excellent hunt and pictures - and with his son and friend - it just don't get no better than that.

Congratulations Late-bloomer - that is an excellent ram.

I am headed to Honolulu in a couple of weeks to visit my son again. I have heard it was excellent hunting, so on one of these trips i will have to sneak away for a little hunting....

Awesome pics, I'd love to do some hunting like that once time and money make it possible. Makes it even better that you got to do it with your son. Congrats!

Both my son and I are truly overwhelmed by all your support and recognition...

The comaraderie generated amongst the seasoned hunters here to us newcomers has done alot to add to the joy and excitement of our trip. Thank you for celebrating this very special occasion with us.

You see, this young boy is my wife's...I have raised him as my own since he was six years old when I met his mom. When I married his mom, I married him too, that was the theme of this great ceremony. I wanted this boy to know I'm not marrying your mom and I see you as just coming along for the ride.

Rather, I am taking a vow and making a commitment to love you both as individuals and take care of you both as individuals 'til death do us part.

Since that great day this boy has realized and has grown to accept and believe that I am and have been very serious about this commitment through thick and thin. He was a very mature six year older when I met him, today, with much gratitude to the LORD, at 18 years old he is far better than I ever was at that age by a long-shot.

I took up hunting to hunt with him. He is my hunting partner and one of the joys of my life. I am so proud of him, very proud of him.

Two and a half years ago my wife and I were finally blessed with our daughter Andreanna. She is a miracle baby and another story all in itself. All I know is I am a blessed man, she's all ready to hunt when she's old enough and so is my wife.

    I guess we're now a full-on hunting family...What a joy!!!
