They're ok, but they've started selling a knock-off Richardson knives. Made by Silver Stagt, but not near the quality as the Richardson Knives. They copied the sheath and all, and even the text from when they carried the Richardson line. The line they carry now look as if they could've been made overseas somewhere.

That wasn't a small account either. The shop provided Cabels with about 2,500 knives per month.[:0]

This one should be close enough to drive to. I haven't seen it except from the freeway, but one of the construction workers said it has a 470 foot skylight. It doesn't look that long.

80% of the hunting/camping equipment I have came from Cabelas. Everything that I have received from them has been top quality products.

Love the service also. For we have a Cabelas here in Wheeling, WV. But it is a four hour trip one way. Most of the time now when I order something it comes from the Wheeling store and I have it two to three days.

Don't forget the new store in East Hartford, Ct.
Opened for business on October 19th.
    Hope to see you there.
The Gun Library has 4 Henry Rifles for sale and a 1886 Deluxe that is beautiful.

The Lacey Cabelas is going to be a treat to go to. I drive by there every day to/from my way to the office. The overall retail space will be over 4million sq feet of space. It is due to open I believe on Nov 16th. Never have shopped there, but is has to beat most if not everything else we have in our area.

I think they missed their target date for opening one in "metro" denver. They are still working on the roads, have not broke ground for the building yet.

    quote:The Cabela's Proposal

In February 2005, the City of Wheat Ridge annexed approximately 200 acres in the Clear Creek Valley as requested by Cabela's and Coors. Cabela's desires to construct and operate an approximately 225,000 square foot retail facility on the property. The property will also contain a future retail center of approximately 500,000 to 750,000 square feet. The target opening date for the Cabela's store is September 2007.

COOL glad you like them, acording to my ATF inspector they helped to lobby for the 1995 crime bill, that put a lot of dealers out of business.Just so they could get your business.<1FMJ>

I have been to a few of their different stores and I will say that they are impressive. I like to hang out in the "Bargin Cave". You can always find good deals there.

I have used and liked Cabela's for some time, but I am beginning to see too much stuff made in China. Just like everywhere else.

    Ya, Cabelas is alright.

How many of you know that Cabelas started out selling Hand made kitchen tables[?]

Just one of the small things you learn when you grow up in the home state of Cabelas[;)]
