Do you REALLY know Dheffley ?

Awhile back, I posted a rather plaintive request for information about Cad programs..what is out there.

Among the replies came one from a prince of a fellow.Dheffley.

Dheffley has gone far out of his way to try and get me up and running with a cad program..indeed I have gotten one actually running.
Having obsolete equipment doesn't help..Danny was polite enough to not laugh when I told him what I have, merely suggested that he perhaps could even help that..by finding a program that my machine is capable of.
That followed over an hour on the phone, as he patiently tried to direct my fingers over the keyboard to try and get things installed.and many e-mails of information.
Danny, I want to take this public method to thank you..and let the members of this board know how fine a gentleman you are.

    I first met dheffley, what? 5 years ago? Thought a lot of him then, and nothing has happened to change my mind. He is the sort of man who will go FAR out of his way to help out a friend, or even a potential friend.

    We have had lengthy conversations via the phone with Danny a few times...always known him to be a concerned, caring, honest and forthright individual....

    We may disagree on a couple of things, and we always let each other know it, but we respect each others opinions, dont try to change it (well maybe sometimes LOL) but when we do its done with fun....

    He is one of a kind...

    There are some members here, that are the salt of the earth. Danny is one of them. While we DO NOT agree on all topics, this hasn't changed my opinion of him. Your story comes as no surprise.

    Wow folks, I'm truly humbled by your comments. I think Sandy would like a little rebuttal time, but I can honestly tell all of you and everyone here, agree or disagree, I respect all of you and would do anything I could to help you.

    I have strong opinions, and I don't waiver much on what I believe, and this sometimes makes for discourse. I can't help it, I don't think anyone should back off of a belief just to placate someone else, on either side.

    I sometimes get angry (being human) but I do forgive, and I hope I'm forgiven. You folks are the salt of the earth, and I am proud to be allowed to participate on this forum with all of you.

    Thank you all for your kind words. It's been a real tough week, and I'll admit, this kind of took be back a little. God bless each and every member here, and for God's sake and yours, remember to vote!
