    the T 90 is nothing but a new development of the T 72, which was a tank that was easy to use, cheap because it was poorly amoured and armed, and it was built for a conscript army, quantity over quality. the t 90 is the t72 with protection system that have been already developed and are in some ways obsolete

    These guys are building up their military, and building more tanks, etc.. that will annihilate us if they all get togeather..

    China, russia, etc is all building up while they let us play this game with Iraq, our stuff is getting used and abused, our military is getting less and less people by the day, and we aren't rebuilding!

    Im in 9th grade, and i can see RIGHT NOW, that this is going to come and kick us in the rear end. They are slaving us, some day there will be a big 'ol war, just watch.

    Armor is important to the infantry and they both play an important role in fighting on the ground. However, armor the likes of the M1 and this T90 are not the gem in the urban environment that they are in open terrain...which is what they were built for.

    The problem with armor is that if you are going up against a nation that has a good air force, you are hosed if your side doesnt have air superiority. Those who dominate the airspace control the war. Our A10s, F15s, F16s, F22s and attack helos would devistate any armor on the ground as long as we controlled the skies. Look what happened in the Gulf War and on the opening days of OIF...our A10s went on a turkey hunt both times and racked up kills like crazy.

    In addition to crippling their armor, as long as we control the air space, they cannot fly in fresh troops, bullets, beans or band-aids.

    Its amazing how well our ground forces are working with the Air Force these days...we have our rivalries, but we all fight together.

    I believe that T-90 is powered by a "recip." engine(stone age Tech). And that's just the beginning of the short-comings.Our tanks can run on anything from Kerosine to JP5 to Diesel to Gasoline.
