sno seal..for boots....
anyone ever use this on your boots to waterproof?..I apply it liberaly and then take my wifes hairdryer and warm it in..it melts right into the leather..and only have to use it once a season..laces and all..[;)]..Loko

I used sno-seal for years. It is OK but it rots the leather. Now I use NIXWAX. You can get it at EMS Eastern Mountain Sports. It is much better and does not hurt leather. 0 -

My experince with it..on a pair of LL Bean maine hunting boots that are over 18 yrs old and have been resoled twice by LL Beans..it never rotted the leather uppers on mine they are still original..interesting..Loko0 -
I used to, After finding out the boot doesn't breath well. In other words, it keeps the moisture out but also seals in the moisture from sweat leading to rot like nyforester said. 0 -
Interesting......I have used sno-seal exclusively for many years with no complaints. I apply it liberally to my boots once a year and place them in the oven at about 100 degrees until the sno-seal is drawn into the leather. Then I let dry.......Never had the leather rot that I could tell.

I used mine on my work boots, and because I wear them all the time and they don't get a chance to dry out on the inside- Could be now that I think about it.[:)] 0 -
That could be..mine were hunting boots and riding an ATV in them but..they always got a chance to air dry before use again..Loko 0 -
