Officers are sued over gun arrest?

    Florida, peaceful journey law, keep it in something that requires you to open it, glove box, shoe box, zippered case, from what ive read, theyre used to be a three step rule or something where it had to take three steps to make the weapon ready to fire.

    If I'm headed to the range I just keep them in the trunk except for my carry pistol. In Texas though you're allowed to keep a rifle or shotgun in the passenger compartment loaded, at least thats what I've been told by police officers. Personally I wouldn't want to test that. I just don't trust cops to have a half a clue anymore.
