Winston Glenfield Model 60 OLD STYLE Stock Issue
The OLD style .22 cal Winston Model 60 has the stock with the squirrel press / stamping. The NEW style does not, its the smooth stock. The problem that I am running into is that I can not find the OLD style stock (with the squirrel press) so that I can replace the stock on my gun. I WAS going to just upgrade to the NEW style stock but then I would have to replace the trigger componenets.
So, my question would be... Can I replace the OLD style stock with the Marlin Fiberforce stock without having to upgrade or replace any other components?
I thought I saw someone on here with a Marlin Model 60 that had the Fiberforce stock with the hollow butt... If you happen to see this... when you changed the stock, did you have to replace or upgrade anything else in order for it to fit?

Well no ones biteing on your question. And to honest I don't have the answer myself. Perhaps you might try asking over at the "Rimfirecentral.com" Marlin forum. Would you rather an old style original stock or go w/the Fiberforce type? As common as the Model 60 is, I would think an old stock should be fairly easy to find. 0 -
Thats what I thought!! To be honest, I like the Fiberforce stock but I would settle for either one! 0 -
Well there are alot of those old style stocks out there. Be patient and watch the auctions, and do frequent searches of gunparts vendors such as Numrich Arms.
Alot of Model 60 non-working parts guns come up for auction cheap.
I've parts needs for much less common guns and have eventually found all the parts I needed. Usually within a month or two. One 1930's vintage Savage bolt took 2 years.
As for the Fiberforce. Perhaps the MFG might be of help about what fits and what doesn't.
Maybe try Here for old stock:

This website advertises the FiberForce. Says fits both new and old model rifle. No gunsmithing required.

O.K. , we sell (and gunsmith) on a bunch of these on a regular basis , there are about a zillion of these things out there . Not all parts (stocks inc.) interchange ,good luck with a replacement , may fit , may not , may need some 'smithing', before I spent any (much) on one of these I would just buy a replacement gun .
Thanks !!!

You should ask the good Captain to put this in the General Forums and someone will probably have one just laying around and send it to you . Trust me it works, very generous guy's here. Someone sent me a Mini 14 stock for free and all I did was mention that I wanted to replace mine.
