Saw the ads on TV. Made it look real good. Tried some this evening. YUCK! Heavy and sweet.

    Isn't it DiSarono Ameretto ??

    It's an almond liqueur - for dessert.

    It's great over ice cream, with a squirt of club soda water, or in an after dinner coffee. It is very sweet.

    I have found it to be a great inducer of romance.

    It isn't a good substitute for vodka or whiskey.

    Try it in its' proper venue and I bet you will enjoy it.

    Good if you do baking. Proof is rather low for hardcore drinkers. If I want sweet, I'll opt for 100proof Southern Comfort. Better kick. Joe

    Try it with some whiskey sour mix and shake with crushed ice. Add a cherry and you're good to go.

    In my mind, that is THE way to drink it.

    I love a cup of coffee with a shot of Amerretto in it![:p]

    It's actually pretty good when you mix it with your favorite bubbly. 30% Disaronno, then 70% Austi for me. Kind of tastes like Dr. Pepper. Give it a shot.[;)]

    I like it with Coffee, we just finished off two bottles of it last week, then got some Parrot Bay Rums this time around.

    I tried a cheap Port wine recently too, but didn't like it too much. I'm Saving for a good bottle of Cognac.

    did you get the brand name "DiSarono" or just amaretto?


    no other taste as good as DiSarono, not even close, 50/50 coffee mix or as a sour/collins is great, strawberry amaretto ice cream drink is just awesome

    I think they have the highest alc.% of the Amarettos too.

    Ingredients:
    1 1/2 oz Scotch
    1/2 oz Amaretto
    Ice
    Called a "Godfather", but the authentic version is meant to be with Chivas Regal scotch.
    Couple of those, and you will feel no pain!
