WHY DO I
keep seeing a lot of AR'S advertised as LE ONLY? The only difference is they have a bayonet lug and a flash suppressor. The ban was lifted. I'm talking new guns.

They have them listed over at SOG's web site[}:)]

Are they sold as LE only guns or are they marked LE ONLY? You can buy an AR set up anyway you want now that the ban is over. One of the new theorys in making money is HAVING a gun that is actually MARKED for LE/military only on the gun. The theory is that they will be worth more later in life since they were made in smaller numbers then civilian guns and only for 10 years. What could a "rare" "marked" AR go for in 10, 20, 50 years? 0 -
I think it's some kinda cool factor to have something stamped like that. It's like having something "tactical". 0 -
There are true LEO ARS with burst and full auto capabilities and 11.5-14.5" barrels which are not available for the general public.
You are probably seeing The Restricted ARs for sale that were marked Restricted during the 1994 AWB that went away in 2004.
They look the same as the preban ARs except for the stamped restriction on the mag well.

the whole "LE only" thing disgusts me. there should be nothing that the government can buy that anybody else can't regarding small arms. 0 -
