This is a pretty good Penn & Teller clip showing some little known tidbits about the bottled water industry. One bottle actually identifies the source of it's tasty "Everest" water. It comes directly from the Corpus Christi Municipal Water Supply.

Hands-down, my favorite of their shows

my brother works for one of the most popular in home bottled water suppliers in the U.S., he had to go upstate to the bottling plant, he told there was 14 different brands coming off the same line, only two of them went through further filtering

    with that being said, i have to admit i like fiji water, it is the absolute best tasting water i have ever had in my life, don't know how true their claim on the bottle is, but it is very good{not from the plant my brother works for ether}

Well our city has very bad water so we go to the local spring water place. This was after my mother got sick from the road salt that made it through. I drink from the tap still and find no problems. Now they make bottled water with fluoride because kids were not getting enough from missing tap water.
Ever notice what evian backwards is?

I drink bottled because it tastes better. I have certain brands I like, and some I don't like.

I like Ice Mountain, or one Dollar General sells.

I only get it if it says what spring it is from.

I drink bottled water because chlorinated water is bad for my health.
I have to be on the alert for for bottled city tap water.
I also have to watch out for water that has additives like potassium chloride, salt, sugar, manganese sulfate etc. Dasani is the worst for this.

Nope,........I have a reverse osmosis system for drinking water.
Best way to go at this point, IMHO![;)]

Growing up, I only drank water straight outta the faucet or from the water hose. Moved out after college and got a Brita pitcher/filter combo and that's what I use now.

My water at home come from 420' down. It is cool, clean and soft. I carry my own water to work because the city water here tastes like c__p. They even add ammonia to the stagnant lake water used for the public (high priced) system.

    that's news to you? [:D]

and yes, I do drink bottled water - I have plenty of bottles and I fill them up from the tap all the time.

bottled water is the perfect proof that one can sell air which I think is going to be pretty soon.

Amen! and, at about 6 cents a GALLON it is a heck of a lot cheaper and so much better than bottled city water with a fancy label on it.

Here the city water is lousy so we spend .25c a gal. at the local water store. Purified though reverse osmosis.

I hate the water at my parent's hose. Too much iron and flat.[xx(]

The best tasting water I know of comes out of the cattle tank. It's spring feed and tastes better than any bottled water that claims to be spring feed. Maybe it's the nitrogen applied to the corn field. 3 gallons a minute year round. The cattle won't even drink the well water if we need to pen on in the barn. (Sulfur)[xx(]

Our house has an air induction filter to remove post of the iron and the sulfur, then a water softener, then reverse osmosis. Without the filters the toilet looks like diahera in 10 hours. There is way too much iron.

Mrs. Plaid won't drink the water out of the cattle tank. It's not like I dip the jug in the tank. I fill the jug out of the pipe filling the tank.

Drink water? Funny, I never made the connection.

Dad always told me to bathe in water and drink beer.

In Fiji, if you ask for "Fiji champagne" you will get fiji water. Thats the only bottled water I will drink.

Mine comes from my frig. Tap water ran through some filters or whatever in the frig. If the water doesn't make me sick I'll drink it. It's water, it all tastes the same to me.
