The first rule of economics says this guy can't be selling more than $235 worth of gold for $235.

Impossible, or he'd be out of business in a heartbeat.

At *best* you're buying a lottery ticket that *might* be worth more than you're paying for it, but I think you're probably investing in fool's gold here.

That's actually what i was thinking. The guy no-doubt seeds one or two of the bags, with a 1 oz. nugget, and the majority get a few grams..

I have been told gold nuggets go for more that the value of gold. I also understand that not all gold nuggets are pure. Some are alloyed with other metals. Those could be factors to consider.

The guy's got his azz covered from fraud with the keyword: "MAYBE". There's no guarantee that you might not just get a bag of rocks. Not a bad deal - for him. It only takes a few starry-eyed suckers to make him a lot of fast money. [}:)]

A one ounce nugget, selling for more than one ounce bouillon? Must be a curve-ball here, like nusmismatic/collector value added on. Joe

You can go to the old gold mine in Franklin, North Carolina and get the same deal for a dollar a bucket. The price has probably gone up by now, but it was a dollar when I was there.
