Para 1911 LTC Range Report
Took my new Para LTC to the range today. Shot about 100 rounds of Winchester white box. Had 1 that failed to feed and 2 that failed to eject. I don't know if it was the ammo or not. It's accurate and has a nice light trigger. Overall I'm really happy with it.
Also shot my Taurus PT140 and am very glad I bought it. It has a looooong trigger pull but has performed flawlessly with over 500 rounds shot. There's a lot of Taurus haters out there but I must have got a good one.
Also ran into my F.I.L. and his hunting buddy at the range sighting in their rifles for deer season.

Good to hear that ya like it. Were the failures towards the end of your shooting? If so, could just be because it was getting a little dirty.

Hi ljwrench. Thanks for the range report. Sounds like the LTC will turn out to be a good one. The FTF and FTEs could be just because it's new and tight. I had a Taurus PT 145 and loved it also. I just could never adjust to the long trigger pull. But I do like Taurus guns - have a PT 911 that I really like. Good luck and have fun. 0 -
It is a very tight gun. The failures were spread out, not at the beginning or end. Got home and cleaned it up real good and oiled it down. Slide seems to be a little freer now.
I think I like the long trigger pull on my Taurus as a CCW. Gives a little more room for error. Less likely to get excited and inadvertantly pop one off.0 -
Glad you like it,.........I wouldn't pay any attention until you have put 500 minimum through it.
Next time might be perfecto![;)]0
