auto repair
My dad has a 95 mercury grand marquis with a 4.6L, the question is there are two sensors on located on the back side of the air filter box, the second is located on the tubing that connects the air filter box to the intake, which is which? does anyone happen to have a diaigram.

does anyone know of a online site where I can get a diagram of the
engine compartment.0 -
I'm not sure about a website, but you might check with your local library to see if they have the Chilton auto manuals. They have always been a good source for my auto repair needs. 0 -
I'm trying to understand the question.
One sounds like a PCV Valve and the other is your intake air temperature sensor. The PCV Valve should go to a valve cover, the IAT Sensor is wired though your wiring harness0 -
judging by the location, it sounds like the mass airflow sensor. it would be the larger of the two. the smaller could be the intake senesor, but don't hold me to that. what is the car doing that makes you suspect these sensors? 0 -
pcv valves are on the valve cover, not the air intake hose. 0 -
Mass air flow meter and prob air intake temp. MAF I believe has 2 small tamperproof torx screws . 0 -
i think az is right. i think it's a t-25 torques bit on that screw. 0 -
thanks guys, yep one is the mass, the other is intake temp.
fixed the problem.0
