I'm trying to learn how to post photos, so I hope you will bear with me.

This one is the day my Soldier Son DougII was awarded the Bronze Star for His actions in Afghanistan. He is on the left. Sailor Son Dave is on the right, and the handsome devil between them is Proud Father Doug.

    Comments and suggestions are welcome.

    Doug

No, he hasn't - at least that I know of. I'll ask him when he returns from hell.

She's a Borderback - Border Collie and Rhodesian Ridgeback. Thanks for the kind words.

Perfect Dog Gretchen was not cooperating when Wonderful Teenage Daughter Deanna pressed the button.

I'm still not sure how I got the pix from the scanner to Gun Broker.

Son Darren was with the 10th in Iraq, came home, when to Jump School, redeployed to Afghanistan. He too, was awarded the Bronze Star for activities there. He is now at Fort Bragg - don't know what he is doing.

Son Doug was with SOCOM in Afghanistan, and with an Engineer outfit in Bosnia. He is no longer telling us that he is in the Army. Doug is not permitted to tell us where he is or what he's doing.

Son Dave did three combat cruises as a trouble shooter for F18 Hornets, and spent some time on the ground with a shotgun in Indian Country. He received a huge number of citations and honors before he left the Navy about 3 weeks ago, to work as a Quality Control Engineer/Program Manager for Bell Helicopter, somewhere in Texas.

He asked me how he could find Texas from Pensacola, and I told him to go West until he smelled it, then South until he stepped in it.

It must have worked, 'cause he is there now.

I burst with pride over all my children.

    Doug

Doug Wilson, I just noticed my post could have been misinterpreted. If it was I apologize. I was in no way trying to insult your beautiful dog in the second picture. I was referring to the chin whiskers in the first picture. White on both sides with a spot of black in the middle. A feeble attempt at humor. [:D]
