Iraq problem appears to be solved!
This is hot off the wire - I'm sure our problems are almost over in Iraq.
I think Bush also just hired some new key consultants to advise him further. I'm not sure of their credentials but they come highly reccomended and apparently work as a trio - Larry Fine and Moe and Shemp Howard.

People wanted him to change his strategy and now he is. We're suppose to give the Democrats a chance in Washington, why not give Bush a chance with changing the strategy?0 -

Lincoln was known to fire Generals that didn't produce results. Why not? It happens in corporate America all the time. It doesn't matter whose fault it is. You're fired if results don't come under your watch. Recruiters get relieved of duty all the time for lack of production. Soldier screw-ups (if they're big enough) can result in the relief of their immediate supervisor--sometimes a few levels up.

I respect their opinion! But, I also believe that a 6 month troop surge of 30k would give us a legitamate way to pull out 75k at the end of the surge. and hey, it might be the ticket...Im no field general like most of you democrats. [:D]0 -
Bushes new plan maybe just to turn it over to the Democrats in the House and Senate, just so thing really get screwed up for the elections in 2008. That way he can say, "I told you so"! 0 -

Before the war began the Army chief of staff said that at least 300,000 troops were needed. He got fired. Turns out he was right all along.0 -
If there was a plan with a political solution that a troop surge would help enforce, it would be a good idea. I think this is just going to be do the same this except with more people. No chance. 0 -

Personally I don't see why everyone is so hot to leave Iraq. After all we still have bases in Germany and many other places in the world. I see Iraq as a good strategic position to have a base.
I would like Iraq to recover and get on their own feet, but I'd be very pissed off if we just left. I feel if we leave now all those troops died for not much of reason.
I wish we would quit messing with the world and let another country play big brother for awhile.0
