Thats an interesting point. I suppose that is one way for them to eliminate access to guns for another group of people if they choose to keep pushing more and more folks into the definition of mentally ill.

It happened that way with the legal system, when men with restraining orders were tossed into the pot of individuals not allowed to own guns. Heck a pissed off wife can slap one of those on any husband pretty easy.

This is why laws need to be written very carefully and the boundries spelled out very clearly.

Anybody who is competent to function freely in society and handle his own affairs has the RIGHT to keep and bear arms. Anybody who is denied that RIGHT is denied that RIGHT wrongly and ILLEGALLY. That would include people convicted of a felony and diabetics. Anybody who can't be trusted to own a gun shouldn't be running loose.

I want the government OUT of my business...and by default...yours.

That means that I....ME...will trust myself to handle a situation when an insane perpetrator starts a shooting rampage...

Mentally deranged individuals will either reframe from owning guns and abusing them volentarily..or they will cease to exist...precisely as any other member of society.

The Gov has this Mental health part allready in place ... they did not fund it ...it has failed ..... now the same Gov. wants to EXPAND on this system.... who is going to fund it? When they decide people like myself cant have a gun you watch how very quietly the Gov guys come up with the money to run this system... Look how many more people they can claim "cant be trusted" with a gun.
