My friend broke his back
This guy is a 56 year old Vietnam vet who fell off a ladder and fractured his spine. Surgery was successful but he's down for the winter. I've offered him the use of my modest hunting library. If he runs out I was hoping some of the other GB'ers could help out. As it sits now he is flat on his back and heavily doped. I'm not religious but for those who feel it a prayer for him would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the response.I heard today that he is not doing well. He's very depressed and seems like he's giving up. His wife and I both have experience with others who have received serious, life changing injuries and understand that adjustment takes some time. Thanks again. 0 -

It takes time. I was moving my gun safe about 4 years ago and it got the best of me. I crushed 2 inside vertebres and thought I was going to be paralysed. Found out months later I have osteoporosis(sp?) and now still do about everything but lots more carefull. Just had to learn to live with it and work within my means. Hope he gets much better and keeps his spirits up. 0 -
I've got a few American Rifleman magazines I can donate. Not too many, as I tried donating them to a place I worked, and they disappeared after less than a week. 0 -
yep my cousin broke his back, but the good ole doctors in the Air Force told him he only bruised his spine.
when he finally found out he had a broke back, mad enough to spit lead.0
