Anyone know of a good program for boat design?

I am trying to find a program thats cheep "read FREE" that I could design a Jon boat im thinking about making so I can get a feel for it im thinking of like a CAD program or something but I am having a hell of a time finding something easy to figure out.

Any suggestions?

    I designed small boats as a teen using graph paper, it was not too difficult just make a 1/12th scale model and transfer it to the plywood.

    Don't really need no "designs" for a bateau. Use a friends boat to get transom angles and heights alond with side angles. A tape measure, level, and angle finder are your best friends. Use your imagination for interior design and size.

    Unfortunetly I don't know anyone around here that has one, I have found some plans online but im looking at building an 18 footer and would like to draw it up so I know exactly what I need to purchase to put it together.

    I think actualy seing it before building it will help alot in not buying crap I don't need etc. Budget is pretty tight around here.

    Anyhow I will keep looking has to be something out there.

    I dont know what you can use, But we have a 16' parked over yonder right now, now i gotta ask dad if we can go fishin' again! [:D][:D]
