Might as well get an AK to keep the AR company. I hate it when weapons get lonely.

Well, point out to your better half that the things are just as handy as fence stays if ya don't got no ammo.

Good women are hard to find, but I'm blessed with one very similar in this regard. She loves her SKS, my SKS, my AK, my Mosin-Nagant, her 870, her .357. . .

I will. I can get a brand new Bushy A3 Target in 16" with Col. Stock for $650 from work.

    I'm all over that!

Federal 55gr FMJ's that retail - $72/200rds. Hope our discount is pretty substantial on them too. Along with the steel 30rd Mags from Bushmaster. $20/ea is retail. Wonder what my price on all this would be?

What do ya guys think? 1/2 dozen 30 rounders and 1000rds to start with?

Get a couple of 20 rounders too. 30s can get in the way in the prone and at the bench.
I think you might do better on ammo.
You are entering a hobby in itself with all the available accessories, different uppers, barrel lengths, calibers etc.
    Happy spending.

Sorry guys, highly frowned upon. You've seen the list of guns I want. I have to keep my job there to be able to get em.

Unless, that is, I get enough of you to buy them at $700/ea that it'll pay for one for me.[:)]

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
$700.00 is still a great deal.

This may require some thinking. I already have a Ar, But there is always room for another.

Now is the time to inform her that you can build two AR's and two AK's plus buy a couple thousand rounds of ammo for each for the same price as buying one of each. Not rocket science either.

And where do you suppose I can find a deal like that?

    2 AR's and a couple thousand rounds for $650?

    Show me the way.

There's a higher power on his knees? Wow...that's either one mighty small higher power, or he's got some damn strong knees!

It's good to have balance in life. Hang on to one and not let go of the other.

I'd get an 18" barrel rather than a 16". You'll get better ballistics

Dontget me wrong. AR's are fine firearms, I've ownedseveral of them int he past. They are very accurate, and cheapto shooot. My own poinion thoghu, they are not a good SHTF rifle.
