Accidental Misfires in S&W 4003 Pistols

Houston Police Dept officers were sent a memo today about accidental discharges in S&W Model 4003 pistols in .40 caliber. Apparently some HPD officers have experienced ADs when some of them engaged the safety after it has been cocked.

Just a warning to those of you who may own a S&W 4003.
