need help finding a tool (chisel, scraper)

I need a tool to do some very fine scraping. A good chisel would do the job I am looking for, but I need something 1/8th of an inch, or smaller. The smallest chisel I have been able to find is a 1/4.
I figure a gunsmith might need a very small chisel to do fine work on stocks, does such a chisel exist. I was thinking of taking one of my grace USA screwdrivers, and filing a chisel point on it. Before I do this, I want to know how well it would hold an edge. I need something that is going to stay sharp for extended periods. Dont want to ruin a screwdriver unless I know it will keep an edge.

    You neglected to mention..wood or metal scraping ?
    Anyway, Brownells' has several that may well fit your needs. Lacking that, grab a file and thin 'er down both directions..I have made several scrapers just so.
    Take care and don't overheat while grinding.

    A screw driver may be of too mild of steel to stay sharp very long, but if decent steel may be hardenable. I've made tools like you describe from broken hacksaw blades, or some hardenable tool steels.

    HSS Lathe tool bits would work also, just grind to shape.

    Thanks for the replies. I will check out the links.
    A little more info. It would be for wood, cane actually. I am looking for something to work on clarinet reeds. I have to scrape cane off the very tip of the reed. The tip is no more than 7 thousanths of an inch, and it is critical that I do not gouge, or chip the tip. The amount of removal is very small, between 1 and 3 thousandths of an inch. I am currently using a tweezer tip, that I filed an edge on. t is really the perfect size, but does not hold an edge well.
    I want to avoid any grinding, just because I have to avoid even the tiniest burr(my grinding sklills are lacking). I will resort to grinding if necessary, but I am looking to avoid that.

    Grind a small file but don't let it turn blue or it will be too soft.
    A small triangular file should get you there without much grinding.
    Use a handle so as not to drive the tang into your palm.

    Check out engravers tools. They will do fine in wood and you can get some very small (narrow) ones.

    Try a company called Rockler Woodworking Hardware.
    Check out a Spline Chisel. It may or may not work for you.

    Or maybe Micro-Mark for the a good knife set.

    Ohh man I am checking out some of the suggestions. Great stuff. This is like the third time I have consulted the Gunbroker BB to find a tool. Thanks for all of the leads!!

    Might try a piece of broken glass. My gradpa use that of many woodworking projects.
