Some poachers are incredibly dumb

I turned one in today to a DFG Lt. that I know. All I am allowed to say is this person is a <pending> gross offender.

    Deer- CA Season is long over. Thats not the bad part. The rest is under investigation. Thats all I can say.

    If the guy was poaching just for kicks, then may he rot in jail.
    If he was doing it to feed his kids, then I hope he gets off to do it again.

    I worked with a guy that got caught poaching a deer. He told the warden go ahead and take anything he has to but don't take his gun he said he needed it to feed his family. Long story short the guy had 7 kids, a deceased wife and was going through some hard times. All of us at work chipped in and bought him a new rifle. He was found not guilty by a sympathetic jury. He was a great guy that was to proud for a handout. He raised all of his kids mainly on deer and moose. His son will joke around and say he never know what beef tasted like until he got married.
