Rossi?
Anyone have any experience with Rossi rifles, more specifically in centerfire calibers like 30/06 or 308? I have long been a fan of NEF and think they are the best "bang for the buck" on the market today, along with the new Stephens bolt-actions. Son has a NEF in 243, along with a 7mm/08 barrel for it. Fine little gun, killed close to 20 deer with it over the past 4 years. I love the barrel accessory program! Rossi says they are about to offer the same sort of deal. Gander Mountain has them on sale for $129.99. Before I spend the money, would like some opinions on them. Thanks!

NEF has a better product as well as better customer service...try to get anyone at Rossi to answer a simple question, good luck! 0 -
I know NEF are great for the $, no experiance with the rossi rifles 0 -
Got an NEF Single shot in 30-30. Nice little rifle, not a minute of angle rifle but good enough for deer hunting. 0 -
Not much opinion offered yet, but from what I have heard, I think I will be better off to stick with a Handi. Son's are decent shooters, especially the 7mm/08.

I would love to have a single shot 30-30, or one of the old Steven's bolt guns. That sucker could be loaded up with "pointy" bullets and make a heck of a deer killer, or even loaded down and make a nice varmint rifle. I think I will bite the bullet and order a handi in 308 with an extra 30-30 barrel for it. There...I have talked myself into TWO new guns! I have a Rossi Muzzle loader and I let my brother borrow it and he broke the ram rod. The ramrod is a special extendable type. I called rossi and no questions asked they sent me a new ramrod free of charge I received it in 3 days. Now I have never had to deal with H&R but as far as Rossi's customer service I was really pleased.0
