    the news said some people are paying up to $20,000 for a ticket to the super bowl thing.

    WTH ???

    Some have more money than common sense.

    I wouldn't go unless I got paid more than that w/free transportation to & from and free eats of my choice too!

    With all the fraud on C-list, I hesitated to accept money mailed from California for a 1914 Weaver auto ambulance "tow dolley" and non hydralic floor jack I have listed.

    Well the guy sent a Chase cashiers check so I took it by my bank and sure enough it's real and there is no stop payment issued on it.


    Haven been screwed 7 ways to Sunday, I drove it by Chase and cashed that puppy.

    Who in their right mind would send a stranger that much cash and to top it off to a PO box?

    Guess I can run with the money

    I did send a $50. USPS money order to a guy on another forum for a used AI magazine for the Lapua and got it already though.

    I guess there ARE real people out there but still few and far between.[B)]

    It's been four weeks since I told my former supervisor where to stick his job.

    I've used less than $100.00 of my savings!

    My bills are all currently paid.

    That's incredible!!

    I'm working half as much time and making almost the same amount of money each week.

    Most of the time it's even been fun!! One night last week I worked for a local teddy bear store, when her elderly santa got sick at the last minute. Aggreement was 3 hours as Santa $50.00 her suit. Showed up early because I didn't want to have a hard time finding the place in the dark. Helped her set up and do some things around the store. She bought dinner and paid me my $50.00. I haven't had that much fun working in years. Then one of the people that came in wanted to hire me for a family party. $65.00 two hours my suit. I bought the suit five years ago did 2 parties and forgot about it. I never realized how many odd jobs local small businesses would have for someone willing to work one day and go away. And they'll pay GOOD money for you to do it too.

    AND, You get to write off your mileage going to and from work!

    January has me worried though. I signed up with a temp agency today. Even they were happy to have someone willing to work short term stuff. Having done construction and plumbing work in the past, I've contacted all the nearby real estate brokers offering my services doing repairs and cleaning. I'm also working on getting a booth in a local Antique and Craft Co-op. They have lots of openings starting in january. I figure for $100.00 and 2 light work days a month that's pretty cheap rent to store an inventory and have it displayed to the public. Right now I'm just selling vintage hunting and fishing accessories. I figure this will be a pretty good arraingement until I get the FFL and start selling guns. I'm also hoping doing the the work for the real estate people will get me access to stuff to sell too.

    Wish me luck so far I've landed on my feet and I'm running.

    Not as experienced as you, BUT, people can get theses things anywhere/ In nicer condition, so why go through the hassle of FFL transfer. Unless a nicer version with box, rare, ect. that is what you will get although they will probebly get bumped a little/ Just my opinion and observations....mm8nambu

    As I'm sure we all know, this is a slow time of year for firearm sales.

    I wouldn't hold your breath on the 9mm but the single action will probably get closer to $100 before it's done.

    Be patient. I'll bet bidding heats up on both of them in the last few minutes. But I will offer some advice. IMO summertime weekends and any holiday is a poor time to have an auction end. People are more active and less likely to be at home to bid. I've gotten some great deals on summer hoiday weekends by driving home from the lake (25 miles) to catch the final minutes of auctions I was interested in.
