Forced to be a better marksman
Good afternoon, I picked up a Taurus 85 ultra-light the other day and took it to my range last night. It had been years since I shot a snubby, and was reminded really quickly that a 2" snubby forces you to be a better marksman. With 2" of sight radius it doesn't take much to throw your aim off even at "dude, slow down on the garlic" ranges. It seems that I shot better one handed first time on the range than with two (weaver'ish style stance). So now I must retrain my shooting skills to accomidate the snubby. I am thinking about taking an advanced class with it. Are there any classes designed around the snubby revolvers, or have they all gone to the 1911 and Glock formats?

Never understood different shooting methods for different types of handguns before. Different grip, reloading methods, sure.
The same basics apply to whatever you're shooting, you just have to work harder with the lil' guns.
Try a laser. I'm a fan of CTC, but I also have a 640 that has a much cheaper Laser Lyte uni type on the trigger guard. With the irons, it'll go into 3-4" at 25 yds, with the laser it goes into 1 1/2".0
