    Here in Northeast Colorado, we call that the ultimate prairie dog rig.

    See, the problem with prairie dogs is that often, when you shoot a few high-powered rounds, they all disappear into their holes and you must wait a half-hour or more for your next shot. With that rig there's no waiting!

    actually, that would be illegal to shoot in Colorado. You may not touch a powered vehicle while shooting.

    if you shoot off a trailer, the hitch has to be disconnected.

    if you shoot off an ATV, you gotta stand on the ground, and those precious little globes can't touch the seat.

    I about swallowed my skoal when you posted that.

    I've...um... seen many a p-dogger hunt off the back of his pickup.
    Could you help me find the regs? I couldn't find them in the CDOW website, so I'm obviously looking in the wrong place.

    You need one of them Transformer trucks so when you want to shoot you just have it turn into a robot and stand on it's back.

    No longer would have wheels on tha ground and not considered a vehicle under the statute.

    CP, about 3 years ago I was shooting dogs from the back of my truck, out past Iliff. It was a sunny day but very cold with a breeze. So I had set up a bit of a windbreak for me and my daughter. He pulled up and told me I couldn't do that. I was on private property with permission. He did not have permision to be there. I didn't point that out to him, I just complied.

    Good enough for me. Thanks. I'd rather not take chances with the boys and girls in the dark green trucks.

    That's some mighty good shootin' up near the Peetz Plateau. Except now you have to watch out for windmills, too. I do most of mine out west in Weld or Morgan County.

    That is a nice rig that Alan has. That 50 cal. is full auto. It is set up "inside" the gun show this weekend. He has the "ladies" from the MachineGunTours 2008 Calendar, there autographing them.

    This is the same Alan, that I won his machine gun match a few years back, with his MP-5. He isn't PC at all. I like that. [:D][:D]

    There's a guy in Greeley who won the CO lottery a few years ago, has an old army jeep with a MG high mounted in the back as well. I'm betting drivers are very respectful of the occupants of these two vehicles.

    Hmmm, a fifty in the back of a Sport-Tracified Escape Hybrid; nope, the recoil would knock the thing on it's side.

    I sure as hell wouldn't want to be driving that soft-top when somebody let loose the ma deuce. What a headache!
