All CAP item titles in auctions: worth grousing?
I've noticed an increase in ALL CAP item titles. Since we pay extra for colored, bold, highlighted and such, and all cap titles are vorboten, is it worth worrying about sellers blatantly stepping right over this rule? Is there a way to easily counter this?
edit: with the influx of ex-ebay sales on parts, I am wondering if the time to crack down on this is at hand.

I see no problem as long as the fine print is also in caps.

Thats what I thought.
But if you look, there seem to be a way around it?

Sadly, this is easily circumvented by putting a serial number, comma or such in the title.0 -

You really don't have anything to worry about, do you?

Personally I plan to let the people that own Gunbroker worry about it. That will leave me free to correct spelling, syntax and grammer here on the boards. 0 -

I thought you were investigating DWS's power ranger?

I despise ALL CAPS and find it hard to read.

I got yelled at a lot about "SHOUTING" when I first got on the computer.
I never did see what a big deal it was, and I guess I still don't.
I type the way I write, and I write the way I learned in drafting class. That was block, capital letters. I also wrote that way when handwriting reports and tickets while on duty and even typed my police reports like that for years until one of my supervisors got on me about the same thing. She said that it didn't LOOK professional. I told her that I thought it was more important to put all the facts into the report rather than to worry about the way they were typed.
I never had any formal typing classes and it was easier (and faster) not to have to be constantly shifting on the keyboard. Since the Prosecutor never had a problem with it, I continued doing it until I got spoken to about it. I told my boss that I felt my time was better spent out on the road than worrying about something that nobody but her was complaining about, but that I would comply and type reports the correct way. I also informed her that my report writing time would increase a little bit. She hated that since they were already squawking about time spent our officers spent report writing but she had to bite her tongue since I agreed to comply with her order.
I still use caps on a lot of my auction titles and the "auto-editor" never busted me yet. When it does, I'll probably comply and just fire off with another Smart-Aleck remark about what difference it should make as long as I pay my tab for my auctions.[:D]0 -
...I'll take note of the "all caps" problem...I overlooked that, glad you brought it to my attention...and WTH is "grousing"???

I'll have to move this one to the I don't care file!!!
Geeessh.... I'm starting to see why Jesus said not to complain about petty things. It waste a minute of time that no matter how you try you can't recover.... I figure I'll be wishing I spent those moments doing something more rewarding during the last minute of my life and probably waste that one too!!!0 -

It is not a wasted minute as long as you can enlighten someone as to how ALL CAP ITEMS TITLES are nothing to get all worried about.
Isn't that what Jesus would want you to do?0 -
