Occupation, what do you do?
Just wondering what some of you guys (and gals) do to earn the $$$$ to pay for this not so cheap hobby that we have!!
I was a machinist by trade, courtesy of Uncle Sam. I picked up my trade in the Navy (Lifemember V.F.W. Post 7687), served my apprenticeship and worked for an Aerospace company for the last 25 years. Retired last February and enjoying life ever since.
My wife runs a lab for an analytical testing company doing materials testing and analysis.
We have 4 kid's, 3 girls and a boy who all par-take in shooting sports of one kind or another.
So, there's a little background on me.
Anyone else?

I was a machinist also. Don't miss it at all. Nasty oily bar stock, Chips in the soles of your shoes. Cast iron dust. Hot chips down the shirt. And stupid bosses. Especially the the rotten bosses. 0 -
I am a Notary Public. [:D]
I have a company that manages casinos here in this great state of WV. Gaming is legal here![:p] My wife is a guidance counselor for the state. I have 2 kids, 3 dogs, and NO guns.[;)]0 -
I put money in some very wise investments in the stock market about ten years ago and kept putting money into it until about 2002. I was able to save enough to pay for tuition and take two years off to attend school. The wife still works so we have income, and my savings should be hammered pretty good by the time I graduate in August, but I should hopefully have little trouble finding a job. 0 -
I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.
Man, I've always wanted to say that. [:D]0 -
I work at Badger West, a wine and alcohol warehouse. I get to fill orders for many of the stores in Wisconsin by stacking cases, picking bottles, and driving forklifts. I also attend a local college part-time and will begin to persue my Criminal Justice degree in the fall. I have no kids and am not married, but do have a girlfriend and am only 21 so I have plenty of time for that. That also leaves me plenty of time for hunting, fishing, shooting, and all the other things I love to do.[:D] 0 -

...Spent 30+ years at a local grain elevator, until my back finally said "no more." Now, I'm a house husband, while the lawyers, docs and insurance people figure out what to do with me. Shopping, cooking, dishes, laundry, cleaning guns, etc. Meanwhile, my wife works for Federal Signal, building lightbars for police, fire units and the military. A real role reversal. 0 -

Besides growing up and working on the farm, I was a Army gunsmith for 13 years (3 years National Guard, 10 years Active Duty). After I left the Military, due to health, I went to work for a grocery distribution center. When I left last year after 12 yrs, I was putting the tax stamps on cigerettes. I also had a small gun shop until last year. Now I am retired, and like tapwater, I am waiting for the VA to get things sorted out. Meanwhile, I am a full time babysiter for my 2 young grandchildren. 0
